Rare. Softcover 8vo, 255 pages: this scarce anthology is from the library of the late great Jill Johnston (1929-2010), critic, radical lesbian feminist and champion of the avant-garde, and bears her distinctive stamp in blue ink on copyright page which reads “Write first. then live.” J.J. Good + only condition with some soiling & scuffs to covers, rubbing & edge-wear especially to spine where there’s a small tear along spine; brittle covers. All that said, interior pages are unmarred. From the copyright page (there is no title page): This anthology originally was to be published by the Everywoman Publishing Company, a small women’s group, and excerpts from everywoman newspaper were to be included; but lack of funds made the first impossible, and an abrupt refusal by the EVERYWOMAN staff made the second impracticable. Contributors include Evelyn Reeds. Linda Elden, Robin Morgan, Laura Murra, Alta, Gayle Louie, Martha Atkins, Helen Victry and many others.
