Very Good in oblong boards, bit of fading along spine both sides, bilingual German/English text, color ills. of works from the Fifties. This copy is from the library of Jill Johnston and bears both her pencilled initials (on red front free endpaper) as well as her ink-stamp in blue which reads “Write First. Then Live.” J.J. on half-title page. Johnston (1929-2010), a friend of Saint-Phalle’s, was a critic, radical lesbian feminist and champion of the avant-garde.
