Very Good softcover with only minor cover wear, 79 pages. First trade edition following the 1993 mimeographed one. The present copy is inscribed in ink on the title page to Hell’s friend & neighbor, the late popet and art critic Peter Schjeldahl thus: “feb 17 for Peter without whom I’d really be in Hell Love Richard”. The oblique reference will be understandable to anyone who neither either man. The book was written in a girlfriend’s apartment “overlooking the graveyard at St. Mark’s Church.” Uncommon association copy.
