Exceedingly rare exhibition catalogue in die-cut card-covers, 17.5 x 17.5 cm, with color images throughout including two-fold-outs. Unpaginated; nine-page Libby Lumpkin essay “Basquiat’s War.” Nick to front cover & some rubbing to edges; abrasion inside front cover and on first page where some water must have caused pages to stick. This doesn’t affect any images & obscures only the text listing gallery’s website. Edition number unknown. Catalogue designed by Paul Wagtouicz. From the library of the late Peter Schjeldahl, art critic for The New Yorker, this copy survived the 2019 fire at his Saint Mark’s Place flat.
