The Childlike Life of the Black Tarantula [Library of Jill Johnston]

The first one-volume complete edition of Acker’s first book, softcover, 91 pages. This copy belonged to late great Jill Johnston (1929-2010) cultural, literary and dance critic, memoirist, radical lesbian feminist and champion of the avant-garde, and it bears her distinctive blue ink-stamp on the first blank page which reads “Write first. then live.” J.J. Condition is less than stellar with some creasing to upper corner front cover decreasing but continuing for six pages in; foxing/spotting to rear cover and last few pages and some rubbing to spine; otherwise without flaw.
