Diamond Hollow Books

Magiciens de la Terre

Martin, Jean-Hubert, Mark Francis, Aliun Luque, Homi Bhabha, et al.

$300.00

Black cloth with silver decoration & lettering, 29 x 36.5 cm, heavily illustrated, text in French. This copy survived the 2019 Saint Marks Place (NY) fire at the home library of the late art critic Peter Schjeldahl. As such it is compromised thus: top and bottom edges smoke-darkened, with some smudges to yellow endpapers. Otherwise all pages are a tad age-toned but without further flaws and the DH is fully intact with only faint wear to crown & bottom edge but no damage. It is however sunned/discolored so that the top half front cover and spine have tuned fuchsia from their original purple, and the rear cover is truly psychedelic (this issue probably preceded fire) — see photos. Contains the work of 100 artists. An important and influential exhibition. Heavy book may require extra postage. original edition uncommon in U.S.
