Lucian Freud: Recent Work

Black cloth boards and dust-jacket, 192 pages, heavily illustrated. Pages a tad- age-toned & bottom edge rubbed, while dj shows just a bit of wear to spine at crown. A penned inscription on title page reads “X-mas ’93 To Lord McDoodle from Lady McDoodle.” It may be surmised but cannot be confirmed that the recipient was the American painter Duncan Hannah, from whose library this copy derives. Laid in also is a postcard announcement for the “Metropolitan Museum of Modern Art”‘s leg of the exhibition which had started in London &* would continue to Madrid. The painting illustrated on the postcard is “Susie”, 1988/89.
