John Currin [Signed & inscribed]

Uncommon survey of Currin’s work to 2010 with short texts by Wells Tower & an interview of the artist by Angus Cook. This copy has various condition issues subsequent to the 2019 Saint Marks Place fire at the home library of Peter Schjeldahl, including: bowing to silky boards with some smoky discoloration, and a darkening to page edges not affecting text or images. Currin has inscribed the catalog to Brooke Alderson and Schjeldahl on the title page. P.S. was long an admirer of Currin’s paintings and put one of them on his 2008 Collection “Let’s See – Writings on Art from The New Yorker.” Further images upon request. Rare signed copy.
