Jocks and Nerds – Men’s Style in the Twentieth Century [Duncan Hannah Library]

Very Good + condition in black boards with orange spine lettering & orange endpapers in a Very Good dust-jacket (now mylar-protected), 233 pages, profusely illustrated in both color & glorious b/w. Two small spots on front endpaper. This copy belonged to Duncan Hannah (1952-2022), artist, underground film star, Anglophile and sartorialist. Scattered throughout the book by Hannah are numerous paper items – tear-sheets from magazines, newspaper, etc. including an 8-page David Sedaris piece from the New Yorker, a gallery announcement card for Hannah’s friend Richard Merkin’s photo exhibit and a full-page image of Hannah himself from the Japanese magazine Superior, wearing Issey Miyake. PLEASE NOTE: Distortions in photo image of cover due to mylar — these are NOT jacket defects.
