Softcover 8vo, 80 pages, b/w images throughout – “texts & images related to the artist’s work” in an exhibition in Salina. Radio, published on the occasion of the exhibition “Adam Pendleton: Radio (One)” at the Salina Art Center, is the second in an ongoing series of publications that indexes texts and images related to the artist’s work. This book begins with an extracted segment from an interview with John Cage by Morton Feldman, in which Cage explicates his adjustment to the problem of radio in the surrounding environment: “I simply made a piece using radios. Now, whenever I hear radios¬–even a single one–I think, ‘Well, they’re just playing my piece.’” Also included are text and images from François Truffaut, Leroi Jones/Amiri Baraka, Jena Osman, and June Jordan. One of 250 copies. Very Good condition with minor soiling to covers.
